A Day In the Weaving Studio Posted on January 21, 2016 by KristieS Click on the pictures in this photo essay to enlarge them. First, a little bookkeeping, some emails and a cup of tea Second, to start the day right, spend some time weaving on a project of my own Finish assembling a new Schacht Baby Wolf loom for Cherie who will be in to pick it up in a couple hours Linda wants to “test drive” a counterbalance loom so she’s weaving a little project on one of the Lillstinas The weaving on Linda’s taquete rag rug mat is going well . . . . . . until a warp thread breaks. Time for a warp repair lesson! Sue and Julie brought in their latest weaving projects. Sue’s is an undulating twill scarf in luscious silk and alpaca. Julie’s wool scarf is her first ever weaving project all by herself! Shoppers! Cherie picks out some yarn for the first project on her new Baby Wolf and Julie buys yarn for her second project on her new-to-her loom Taking a “break” to finish untangling a skein of silk that’s nagging at me Lights out at the end of the day.
