What I Did This Weekend

Website workDuring the past few days I laid my weaving aside and helped boost Bluster Bay Woodworks’ online presence by completing a new website with a blog and setting up a Facebook page and a Ravelry group.

The website site has some new things not included in Bluster Bay’s old site. Now there is a blog to follow and I really like the Special Woods page.
Terry is always picking up a board or two of interesting wood that’s not readily available all the time. These treasurers can’t be put on his standard wood list since he’s only be able to offer shuttles made from them for a short time. Now this woods will be shown as “Special Woods” for as long as they are available.

Here’s a picture of shuttles made from the current special wood, Andiroba. Read more about it here.

So, please check out my handiwork, “like” the FB page and join the Ravelry group.

Of course, one can’t spend too many hours looking at a computer screen, so I also snuck in some knitting on a new pair of handspun socks. I am using a pattern called Rye. It’s free in the e-book The Simple Collection from Tin Can Knits. They are knit with aran weight yarn on size 5 needles so they knit up fast. Photos of the socks coming soon!
